How to make Tapee Tea

Start with 200 ml of hot water. Steep one tea bag for 2–5 minutes, or stir in one 3 g soluble sachet and let it stand for 2–5 minutes.

Then decide what you are in the mood for: a warm cup with honey, an iced tea with lime, or perhaps a splash of coconut milk.

  2. Add 200 ml of hot water.

Creative serving ideas

Brew your tea first, then have a little fun with it. Start with a small addition, taste, and adjust.

Iced citrus tea

Make your tea with hot water as usual and remove the bag if you are using one. Let it cool, then pour it into an ice-filled glass. Add a slice of orange, lemon or lime.

For a sweeter drink, stir in a little honey or sugar while the tea is still warm so it dissolves easily.

Honey and lemon

Stir a small spoonful of honey into warm tea, then add a squeeze of lemon. Go gently with the lemon at first. Taste, then add a little more citrus or honey to suit you.

A splash of milk

Add a little dairy, oat or coconut milk to your prepared tea. Give it a stir and taste before adding more. Try this separately from lemon tea, as citrus can make milk curdle.

Sparkling citrus tea

Let your prepared tea cool and pour it over ice. Add a slice of orange or lime, then top with a splash of sparkling water just before drinking to keep the bubbles.

Before you brew

Keep the same tea portion when adding ice, citrus or milk: one bag or one sachet. Prepare the tea with hot water before cooling it for an iced drink.
